Free Ventrilo Server

I’m feeling the Christmas spirit. I’ll give away a free year of a 25 slot Ventrilo server (an $83.45 value!) to the best 100-150 word essay about why you like DarkStar. Just reply to this article with your essay (be sure to use your email address, it won’t be visible after you submit it but it will let me contact you.) All submissions must be turned in by Christmas morning. Then I’ll take a few days to decide and we’ll make sure your vent server is up for the full calendar year 2008. DarkStar reserves the right to use your submission for advertising (or we might hang it up in the break room or show it to our moms or something. Gotta make mom proud.) I should mention that if you already have a server I’ll credit the $83.45 towards future service.) What have you got to lose? Submit it now before you forget! Darkstar Communications truly has the best prices for voice communication servers on the web today. I have checked many places but none has yet to compare to the low price and excellent quality of Darkstar. Thank you Darkstar for giving a great quality product for a low, low, price. Me and my friends use Ventrilo in our game GuildWars. We would be lost without it, as would many others.

I asked my friend yesterday, what service he used for his private vent server. He answered Darkstar and I immediately remembered the quality, the organized channels, and of course the absence of down-time. A few days ago, I decided to visit the website and see what the facts were, for who knows, services change. I found so much there! I mean Darkstar servers also work for Macs! Of course, the biggest plus for me as a guild leader is the cost. My guild currently is in need of a 25 user server, and seeing the low price of $83.45 just blew me away. And my guildies can help pay with ClanPay! I mean, come on now people, low cost, quality service, and the ability for shared pay. I have to say that once we get our numbers together for raiding in WoW, Darkstar is going be our choice!

I have had a 50 User Ventrilo server with DarkStar for two years now and I am about to renew for my third. I can count on one hand the number of times I’ve had to contact tech support for issues or questions regarding my service. Each time I have received a prompt response and the support has been outstanding! Upgrades and/or changes to the service have been completed quickly and efficiently. The Clan Pay option is very handy since many of the gamers using Ventrilo are able to contribute to the yearly cost. This has helped me a lot; I have a stress free host! Thank you DarkStar!

When looking for Ventrilo Servers I stumbled upon DarkStar. I researched prices, support, codecs, and just about anything else you can imagine. DarkStar was at the cheapest not by a couple cents a month, but by a couple dollars per month. They would save me about thirty dollars a year from second place. They also offer the best support plan, and the best uptime guarantee. They also have free web hosting which is amazing. The control panel is also very stunning and they have a server in my area. DarkStar is just amazing compared to the rest. I would not go with anyone but DarkStar.

Darkstarllc is the best vent sever because it provides cheap voice hosting and is very reliable. The servers that I’ve been on (which are Darkstarllc) are running 24/7 and are on tip-top condition. The other servers I tried are just a weak copy of Darkstarllc and doesn’t even put up to its promises. Darkstarllc keeps its customers informed about vent updates and the updated servers which other many other providers don’t. Buying a server on this site is easy, quick, and secure. Who would even want to miss this opportunity to buy a cheap and high definition server. The prices go low as $3.48 a month for a 10 slot server. Do not even try to look for another place to buy a server because this could possibily be the best site to buy a vent server.

i would like to have my own vent so i can get new lvl 70’s on world of warcraft better gear so i can help them but i dont have a credicard so i can not purchase a vent server

I like Darkstar for a number of reasons. First off, you guys were right on top of things by upgrading to ventrilo 2.3. Secondly, you haven’t stolen my money and closed down (:-P). I also enjoy your service because it seldom crashes, and my guild can count our server to be up and ready to raid! I don’t like having to make user accounts for everyone with a duplicate IP, but I know that’s a Vent problem as opposed to a darkstar problem, so I’m ok with that. If we end up switching to teamspeak, I will stick with your service anyway.

DarkStar is easily one of the greatest Ventrilo and Teamspeak hosting companies around. I personally frequent several servers which are hosted by DarkStar and I have honestly never seen my ping rise above twenty-five. The website is well thought out, and all the information you need, and even some you don’t, can easily be found with a few clicks of the mouse. Not only is it reliable, as I have yet to suffer from downtime on any of the servers, but it is cheap and the servers are so well connected that you can hear people from the other side of the country as if they were next to you. As a game developer myself, I know the importance of users being able to communicate with people easily, and I am definitely considering renting Ventrilo servers from them to allow people who play my games to communicate with each other effortlessly.

Hey, and thank you for opening this opertunity for us.
The reason why I love Darkstar is because of Quality, Price, Service, and Extars such as this Christmas compitition.
Quality, I have tried many Ventrilo services, such as Trinity and others, But yours is by Far the best out of the cheap priced ones (Wich is GREAT). I can hear everyone loud and clear! There are no Robotic voices, And i NEVER half to say “Sorry i didnt hear you, say again please.”!!
Price, Your prices are VERY low and although there are some company’s with cheaper ones those ones dont work so well! Such as Trinity (I think) has 12 slots for $3.00, BUT you cannot hear so well and it was basically a rip off!! But with your services I can pay less and still get the bes quality!!
Service, As i said before ive tried lots of company’s and none of them replied to my quistions in less than 24 Hrs. But with this company I get answers only a few minutes possibly 1Hr from my post (happened only once)!!
Extras, Im SOOOO gald you guys do give aways such as this and most company’s dont at all!!

The reason why I think DarkStar is awesome is because of their great pings and locations. They provide excellent support 24/7 in IRC or email. They are also the only server hosting company that is offering a Christmas present (25 slot ventrilo server). DarkStar is also the only company that i’ve found so far with sponsorships. A 25 slot ventrilo server can be very helpful to many people including me
My clan and I need a ventrilo server for cs and this would be an awesome present to us

I have been using the Darkstar Ventrillo service for nearly 2 years now and 97% of the time the server has been working fine with no downtime at all.
When the server does go down though, an easy submit a support ticket to their support team is all that is required with a quick responce email from them less then 24 hours (even less then that :))
If anybody does read this I do recommend Darkstar for their service and value.
I will be looking forward to 2008 with my Ventrillo server in Darkstar hands.

A gift of this magnatude is amazing to me. I dont thinki deserve it anymore than anyone else, but i do know i may want it more. I just started a new guild and my old guilds vent is full of not very nice people. Recruiting new members has been tough and id like a new start. I dont know much about Darkstar, but i do know anyone willing to do this is amazing. That it would be an honor to be given a chance at a free vent for a year. I think darkstar is great because their prices are the lowest i’ve seen. They have many servers all over the world that give great ping. Darkstar gives free web hosting and all premium mac codecs for free. Darkstar is the most generous server hoster i’ve ever used. Not only are their prices extremely low but they have a real 24/7/365 in house customer service. Because darkstar is so generous they even have a 45 days money back guarantee and that is why I’m not surprised that they are giving out a free year of a 25 slot ventrilo server. hi there:D. im looking for a free ventrilo server for me and my friends, we have been talking on msn voice chat for almost a year now.when we are playing battlefield 2 ,there is this fuzzy sound in the baground that makes a headacke and im tired of all the weird noises and i can barely hear my friend on there. we have a bf2 clan called abu and we would realy like a ventrilo server with admin access. hope you made the right choice.

Hello, I would like to first of all thank you for creating this contest. I bet alot of people will enter alot of these essays :D. Anywho, I would like to say I love DarkStar mostly because of the voice servers you all host. You all working at DarkStar give everyone that uses Ventrilo a chance to meet new people and actually learn useful knowledge that might help you in life. Without you all, I bet there is some kid or even aldult that uses one of your servers to talk with other people about maybe problems that he faces in real life that he wouldn’t ask someone in person but over a microphone. I have had many game servers in the past.
When my clan started playing cod4, I knew we had to get a box asap.
I did a google search and compared prices all around.
Darkstar has been recommended by other clans to me and I know why now.
Not only does Darkstar have the lowest price, but my server was online lightning quick.
I played with the config files and messed some stuff up trying to get certain modes working.
I contacted darkstar support and they handled it quickly & professionally.
I don’t know what else to say about DS, Great prices, fast setup, awesome support!
Theres no reason to go with any other provider then DarkStar.

Darkstar is the best from the best and leaves others in the past!
Darkstar is cool and hot , actually , they are everything that others are not!
I really like Darkstar because of so much reasons,
not only as a clan we enjoy it already for more then (2 ?) years
but personally i like the fact that its possible to switch between server locations.
I mean , if we recruit new people to our clan that are e.g. Dutch , we can switch to the Dutch location , and if there are more germans online for a match , we can simply switch it to the German location in just a matter of minutes! So they will have the BEST pings/latency and that improves the gameplay alot !! Super !!
One of the other things that we like is the prices, we dont have much money and everytime the contract ends its abit stress to find money , but i know with Darkstar we have much options,
so we can for example buy 1 month or 5 months according to the ammount of money we have at that time. This can give us time to get some more money meanwhile! Fantastic !!
And finally the Uptime of the server , as far as i can tell we only got 1 or 2 times no uptime in the whole last year , so good job Darkstar !!

I like Darkstar because it allows me to communicate with people from many different continents and backgrounds that I would normally not have much exposure to. In addition, it allows me to bond with these people, and as a result, grow to have more of a cultural understanding. DarkStar has also allowed me to effectively communicate with my fellow gamers much more so than if I hadn’t been using Ventrilo. You cannot even come close to matching the efficiency of playing a game with voice communication when you don’t have that option. In conclusion, I have spent countless hours using your service to communicate with friends I have made through games, and I think I speak for all of here on our vent when I say that we appreciate you making this possible.
If by some strange chance, I do win, can you please credit the money to the person who pays for the vent server with the following information, (server information deleted for privacy, but don’t worry, we noted to whom you’d like to donate your server)? She is a great person, and I feel deserves the prize.

I like Darkstar for many reasons, I think one of the main reasons is its professionalism, It’s style and design and high quality and always for Its amazingly fair prices, I personally think Darkstar is the server hoster of the year - and many more years to come.
But that isn’t all, Darkstar cares about Its users.. It has superb uptimes.. and Its pings are the lowest I have set my now tearing eyes on.
I don’t consider myself patriotic, but to this.. This is one of the reasons I don’t pay for phone bills..

It’s nice you are giving out a free server ,for a year. I am not going to sign up, or anything. Just noticing, another great thing your company does.
Your servers are top notch, ping are outstanding. I have experience no lag, what so ever, on your servers. They are truly, amazing.
This giveaway, is just one of many outstanding things DarkStar does.
Your support, is also outstanding. When I had my ventrilo server, and I encountered a problem. They were right on it. ( My friend now rents, for now ) They’re truly, a great support team.
Your prices ,are also great. What can be better? Affordable prices, and Outstanding Service? I say “Nothing.”
