Scranton Move

Heres the word from the tech guys:

“We’re moving V31 (64.191.15.213 - Scranton, PA) to our New York facility to improve performance and reliability. Routes from PA were backhauled from New York City as a primary NSP source anyhow - so there has really been no good reason for this server to exist in the first place. The new servers are now online at 72.37.204.94 using ubiquityservers.com’s Mzima network. Old servers will be shut off on June 3rd at 12:00 AM.”

I apologize if you blacked out in the middle of it like I did. Grab some coffee, walk it off.

Basically, all of the traffic to our Scranton server passed through New York. Even if you were next door to the server, the traffic was routed through New York. Oh sweet irony! We put the server in Scranton because it was closer to you, our customers, but after extensive empirical research, it was actually worse.
