New Features Abound!

March 17th, 2004

DarkStar Communications is proud to announce the launch of our new Clan Pay system. Clan Pay is a system that allows clan leaders to accept payments towards their DarkStar Communications invoices via our web site. This means that you can easily begin taking payments from your clan members to help pay for your server.

So how does Clan Pay work? It’s very simple. You, the account owner, can log on to https://billing.darkstarllc.com/clanpay . From there, you need to enter your billing e-mail address and billing password on the Account Holder log on form (the second form on the page).

After you have logged in, you can click “Set Clan Pay Password.” Please set your appropriate Clan Pay password and then click “Add New Members.” Type in the e-mail address of the member you want and then hit “Add Member to Database.” At this point, you can guide your clan members to https://billing.darkstarllc.com/clanpay and tell them to log on to the main form (the first one) using your billing account e-mail address, the Clan Pay Password that you set, and their e-mail address that you entered into the database.

Once they are logged on, all they need to do is click “Make Payment.” They then can select the invoice that is due, and click “Make Payment” link next to the invoice details. At this point, they just need to fill out their own personal billing information and credit card information (Pay Pal support will be coming soon, for now we only take Visa, Visa Electron, MasterCard, Discover Card, and American Express).

Once they submit their payment information, the transaction is processed (as long as it passes our fraud checking system) and the amount gets credited to your account. You can view the payment history by logging onto your Account Holder log on area.

If you need any assistance with this service, please open a support ticket. Thank you.

Other DarkStar Communications Additions

We’ve also made some additions to our TeamSpeak control panel which allows you to view the current people who are logged on, send messages to everyone on your server, and also control the bans directly from the web site.

Clan Pay and the TeamSpeak Control Panel additions are just the first of many good things to come from DarkStar Communications. In the past month we have been able to limit our server down time to literally zero minutes and we’ve added four new server locations in two additional countries.

Coming Soon! (We plan on implementing these services over the next month or two).

Game Servers – DarkStar Communications will begin offering Game Servers in the next month or two with support for popular games such as: Unreal Tournament 2004, Counter-Strike: Source, Counter-Strike 1.6, Natural Selection, Medal of Honor (and expansion packs), Call of Duty (and expansion packs), America’s Army, Battlefield 1942, Battlefield: Vietnam, Battlefield 2. We will be offering game servers in locations such as Dallas Texas, Fremont California, Newark New Jersey, Atlanta Georgia, Toronto Canada, Chicago Illinois, and London England. Prices will start at $2.50 per slot and offer a web based control panel for your Game Server Management. All game servers will come with your choice of a Free TeamSpeak or Ventrilo server.

Shoutcast Hosting – DarkStar Communications will begin offering Shoutcast Hosting in the near future to those who want to run online radio stations or have the need to stream online media. At this time we have yet to announce pricing information.

Dedicated Servers – DarkStar Communications will begin offering Dedicated Servers starting at $139/month in the next month or two. We will have more information about this service soon.

Once again, we would like to thank your support of DarkStar Communications.
